The noble suffix “de Paratico” signifies their earlier settlement in the town of the same name in the province of Brescia, bordering Lake Iseo in Franciacorta. Here, the Lantieri family had their magnificent castle erected in the 11th century. <\/p>\n

The story goes that the exile and supreme poet Dante Alighieri, who was inspired by the landscape and is said to have written some verses of the Purgatory Canticle, was hosted in that castle.<\/p>\n

Then in the 1500s the family moved to Capriolo, where the winemaking tradition has been perpetuated and the winery is based today.<\/p>\n

The Lantieri family was distinguished for the production of wines as early as the 16th century; they were then valued suppliers to the court of the Gonzaga lords of Mantua, and to the courts of Ferrara and Milan, with the “Rubino di Corte Franca,” forerunner of today’s wines.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I Lantieri, nobile famiglia bresciana, si insediano a Paratico, dove costruiscono il loro magnifico castello. Nel 1500, la famiglia si trasferisce a Capriolo, avviando una tradizione vitivinicola che prosegue ancora oggi.
